“I want to be gone before he finishes his announcements and comes for me”, her voice was quiet and hurried. She held her hand out for a taxi that was passing by. It screeched to a stop in front of her.
“Please don’t be hasty, all you have done is leave the hall, there could be many reasons for you to have done that”, the family solicitor was such a squirmy man. He sounded as if he was constantly in a state of petrified fear.
“Don’t be so spineless, are you going to help me or not?”, She climbed into the taxi. Slammed the door behind herself. She heard the click before her body fully turned into the seat. The driver was sitting patiently in the driver’s seat. There was another passenger.
“Press mute”, the secret passenger said. She recognised the voice. It was the assassin. He was dressed all in black again. The taxi driver pulled a black mask over his face and pressed a button on his dashboard. The door locks slotted into place.
