Coping mechanisms

We all have them
In many different forms or outlets
Some physically damage themselves
Ripping out hair, chewing nails, chewing skin, scratching itches that aren’t really there, cutting to watch the blood flow free,
Some mentally damage themselves
Drinking and drinking until blackouts sickness when the dizziness sets in they drink some more, inhale mellow side effect paranoia, Swallow tiny pill brain zones unpredictable bad trips, inject and infect unsafe practise,
Some damage others rather than themselves
Domestic abuse, assaults, rapes, murders, mental bullying, physical bullying,
All in the need to have control of something
The illusion of power…
Some of us write stories of heroes,
Some of us strive to become heroes,
Another attempt at feeling that piece of power that we never truly have.
